They obviously left out the gams starts column... JP Played ~6.3 games in 2007. Game average = 191.1 yards/game.

      Trent played ~9.7 games in 2007. Game average = 168.0 yards/game.

      6.3 + 9.7 = 16 games... 9 games + 10 games = 19 games... I thought the NFL was considering a 17 game schedule... not 19.

I think he probably fumbled more than 5 times and got sacked more than 14 times.

Of course he appeared in 8 games... But his % of paly of a 16 game season was 6.3 games.... 39%.

Draz, evol, and Yardrat- yall get . I mean, even if you count 1 drive in the Pats game as a whole game (which they do), and the 1 and 1/3 quarters vs the Jets as a whole game, then he played 8. Or, played IN 8.

That is so strange. I just wanted to share that. Anyone else care to comment?

But that's not how they do it. Nor should they.

What about the fact it is actually 8 games?

For everyones info, JP played approximately 25.58 quarter and TE played approximately 38.42 quarters.

Who cares? JP sucks and is the backup. The last thing we want to see is JP on the field this year. If JP sees action this year it means either Trent sucked or Trent was injuried. As Bills fans we should hope Trent succeeds and stays healthy.

There is no question, regardless of how you slice and dice it, that JP's stats were superior to Trent's. Except in the won-loss column, even if you use a baseball approach. I'm not trying to be Wys, but if you throw out the two horrible weather games, their stats would be closer, and Trent's won-loss record would be even better.

But really, the Bills are basing their confidence in Trent on his poise, pocket presence and awareness. He seemed to have it as a rookie, where JP was still struggling in his 4th season. And recognizing that Trent was a rookie, I don't think the Bills are nearly as interested in stats as we are.

I believe the Bills like Trent's mental ability to play QB better than JP's, and that's how they have made their decision. We can argue stats all day, and it won't really make a difference.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

The one stat that worries me in the whole list is the fact that George Wilson put the ball in the end zone more times than the combined total for all WR not named Lee Evans.

Hardy needs to hit the ground running from week 1, and that's a lot of pressure for a rookie.
