Scarred but rehabbed, Bills' Posluszny back in action

Scarred but rehabbed, Bills' Posluszny back in action

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Paul Posluszny extended his left arm and flexed it, raising the narrow line of the purple scar that runs from just above the wrist to nearly the bend of his elbow.
"Nice looking, isn't it?" the Buffalo Bills linebacker said after the team's voluntary minicamp practice Wednesday. "I wish it wasn't there, you know what I mean? But what are you going to do about it now?"

Eight months ago, Posluszny's rookie season ended prematurely after he broke two bones in his forearm while attempting to make a tackle in Week 3. In retrospect, Posluszny acknowledged it might have been wishful thinking believing he had some kind of superhuman healing ability that would have allowed him to come back and play the final few games of last season.

Now, though, it's a different story...

I think he's going to be a seriously smart and tough MLB for a long time.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Poz, if healthy all season, will be near the league lead in tackles...

Not sure if that is a true statement.

But Poz was right there last year near the top pre-injury.

Every good LB needs a few battle scars.

Yup, he was near the top last season when he was hurt.

I think there's some stuff he can rub on that scar to make it fade. LOL Seriously, I think he is going to be an elite MLB sooner rather than later, and maybe by the end of the season. He's not the fastest or the most athletic, but he's fast enough, and athletic enough, and his apparent intelligence seems to more than make up for any shortcomings in the measurables department.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Put him on the outside and he will hold up in the NFL.

Re: Scarred but rehabbed, Bills' Posluszny back in action

I think having another year for his knee to heal as well as being able to sit in the meetings and watch film (all of which he did last season) will make it possible for him to be even better than he showed last season before he got hurt.

I expect him to be quicker and sharper getting into his "fits" against the run and dropping into coverage as well as an even stronger tackler this season.

If he can do that, with Stroud in front of him, the interior of the Bills' defense should be significantly better than it has been the last two seasons.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.
