I just got HD service from Time Warner, unfortunately I haven't gotten the HD tv yet. Anywho I was watching the HD NBC channel and it still looks (and sounds) better than standard even on a standard television

wait- you pay for HD service but you don't have an HDTV? I hope you realize you're paying for nothing.

NBC's HD is the worst. They're the only station that has motion blur on my TV. ESPN and Fox have the best HD IMO.

I believe HD is free with TimeWarner. I am switching to DirectTV so i can get Sunday Ticket this year, but free HD is tempting.

HD is in fact free with Time Warner, so he's not paying extra for anything. Though I don't know how it could possibly look any better, you're getting the same exact signal.

Just curious.....why would you Sabres fans root for the Western Conference?? I know I always root AFC in the Superbowl (except the Pats)

I started looking at TV's yesterday and shoul have one by next weekend.

Next step is to get my Dish switched over to HD.

Because we don't like Pittsburgh? I never understood the conference deal. You root for who you want to root for. I'll never root for anything Pittsburgh no matter what.

If you have DirecTV thats great. I've been hearing that DishNetwork has been incredibly slow in their transition not even offering local channels in HD....
