That is good news honestly. Time to move on already. I love the depth we have in the minors at Defense. They need to sign a solid Veteran in the interim.

half good news. Buffalo's good at getting rid of players. They're bad at replacing them.

At least Fitzpatrick is an All-Star :snicker:

Now use that money towards Roszival or Orpik

Let me first state this, I am ****ing Pumped about Dimitri Kanlinin being gone, PUMPED,

Now why did we not trade him last year, they obviously knew he was gone, this is what i hate about Darcy and pulling the trigger, we trade our best Dman basically sealing the fact we were not going to the playoffs, and i know mathmatically we were still in, but why not trade Kahlinin for a player, prospect, or draft pick?

someone would have takin him i would have settled with a 5th rd pick, anything but just letting him walk

He stole from this organization like other players have Eric Rassmussen etc... we need to make more moves and get something in return

but again absolutly ****ing Pumped he is gone i dont think i ever hated a Sabre more

Great start for Darcy Regier and the Buffalo Sabres! Now let's hope they can re-sign BOTH Ryan Miller and Jason Pominville, plus sign a couple solid gritty defensemen and maybe even another scoring threat.

Lets sign Orpik and bring Campbell back.

The cup would be in the ****ing bag.

(oh, and we need a new backup)

Campbell isn't worth the money he will get. I'd rather use that money to lock up Miller and Pominville.

Also, trade Max and free up that money.

OR, as Jeremy White often suggests, Jason Smith from Philly will be available.

Campbell sucks bad in his own end. How many times did he get called out on Vs. during the playoffs? He probably won't get paid as much as he wants now that his weakness was exposed more than once on National TV.

I didn't think he was worth that kind of money when he was in Buffalo. I'm almost glad he didn't sign. I'd rather have someone like Orpik who is going to do the dirty work than a d-man who does spin moves and tries to look pretty.

I'm going to miss Kalinin as a person, not as a player. He was a good guy, We would be waiting behind the HSBC Arena for the players to come out after practice. He would always sign autographs for all of us and talk to us. I wish the guy luck, rumors are that I've heard is he might go back and play in the Russian League for a couple of years.

He might be a nice person but he wasn't a good team player. He was just randomly take shifts and games off as if it didn't matter. He made way too much money to do things like that. Good riddance.

On that note, we should keep him.
