this doesn't really change anything- it's his car, so regardless of who was driving, it's eventually going to end up in his driveway. As far as being in the area, I think that was pretty much assumed from the beginning. Did anyone actually think he went to one of his homies and said, "Sure, you can take my $120k SUV and go drinking on Chippewa- just bring it back by daybreak!"?

No, but is it remotely possible that one of his homies asked to drive it back? Heck, maybe he actually had a designated driver...

So if it were one of his "homies" why wouldn't this whole thing be cleared up? If it were my "homie" and he drove my vehicle and hit someone and then left the scene making me look like the guilty suspect, you can bet your ass they would be the one taking the fall for the crime they committed, not me.

Nothing new at all about this. The national media is just getting around to reporting it.

You clearly know nothing about how lawyers work.

What? You're either guilty or you're not. If you tell your lawyer you didn't do it and your buddy did, the lawyer is gonna drag things out...because????

Because he is trying to shield himself from a big lawsuit? I dunno. I can think of many reasons.

Well basement dweller..... The fact that it was his car involved, whether he was driving it or not makes him liable in some form or fashion and leaves him wide open for a lawsuit and possibly even jail time (a maximum of 1 year in NY if I'm not mistaken.)

I am SURE he's going over his legal options and mulling things over before coming forward with information.

He's trying to find someone that'll accept a payoff to take the fall for him.

which is the reason he's not talking.. If he makes any statements to the police that turn out to be false, he can get in a lot more trouble.
