Bills' Tasker translates football lessons for business

How do you play in four Super Bowl games and seven Pro Bowls?

Steve Tasker, the former Buffalo Bills special-teams player and now a CBS Sports analyst, told the Small Business Council of Rochester that what it takes is expertise. "Expertise is part of the fabric that makes your business what it is," Tasker said to more than 250 people Wednesday at the George Eastman House.

Tasker recalled a time in his career when some Buffalo Bills coaches made the players read the back of the playbook first. It outlined changes in NFL rules.

One of my 5 all time favorite Bills.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Tasker said a slightly injured Jets player went down, stayed on the field and was encouraged to stay down by teammates, who wanted to stop the clock. The Bills knew about a rule change that prevented that, and they encouraged the player to stay down, Tasker told his laughing audience. The clock ran out, and the Bills won.
