Bills’ DiGiorgio should go to a safe place

The Buffalo Bills' John DiGiorgio is already a step ahead of previously converted safety George Wilson: He has some experience running backward. Just as with the former wide receiver, a change to the defensive backfield might make the current linebacker more valuable to the team while providing opportunities for the player to make it into the defensive huddle. Instead of reverting to the sidelines this season after filling in as a 2007 starter, DiGiorgio’s innate talents could make him a transfer candidate in what would be a mutually positive move.

The smallish linebacker would make a largish secondary member. He’s a bit bigger than the team’s current safeties in terms of raw size, but not insanely so: At 6-foot-2 and listed at 229 pounds, he’d be an inch or two taller than all the existing members of the platoon, or three inches when it comes to Donte Whitner. The heaviest current safety is John Wendling at 222 pounds; DiGiorgio might have to slim down a tad in order to run freely with ease, but what makes the idea feasible is that he’s already shown he can patrol his segment of the turf with exceptional quickness.........

"This could be like a reverse Coy Wire switch, except that the Saginaw Valley State product would ideally emerge as a player who is good at both instead of really never succeeding at either."

    Poor Shelby.

I think this is ludicrus. Leave him at LB. We need depth. Who is to say POZ won't get injured again.

I agree with both posts. He already has a knack for picking the ball off.
