I saw where McDaniel got cut by the 49ers also.

I read (TSN) that McDaniel was injured right after he got to SF, and they had to choose between an injury settlement/release or waiting to see what he could do after the injury healed.

I know they don't play them this year. Maybe just for the preseason game. You never know what some of these guys are thinking.
