All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

7. Bills. Relentless Aaron Schobel is the team's only superior edge rusher. Chris Kelsay is a decent bull rusher and is sturdy against the run. Ryan Denney (6-7, 264) has good size and athleticism but is coming off a broken foot.
I think Ellis will get some productive time as a situational pass rusher.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I could see him as a situational pass rusher but I don't think he'll ever be a full time DE for us or anyone else at the NFL level for that matter. He just wears down too easily.

He may get bigger and stronger once he's part of the Bills' strength and conditioning program. I think he has a lot of talent.

Yeah but there's a point where talent will only take you so far and the drive to succeed has to take over. Talented he may be but a high motor guy he is not, on film he appears to break down towards the end of the game.
Watch our film, watch the film of other teams, compare the two, and you'll see it. As a pass rusher he leaves a lot to be desired but as a run stopper he is just as good as anyone not in a 3-4. His lateral pursuit skills are astonishing, he has the speed, he has some of the best power moves of any DE in the league, he has the strength, etc....
Schobel plays the run just as well. If you don't believe me go compare his tackles to other DE's.
Schobel is another guy with great lateral pursuit skills which makes him dangerous against the run, but he and Kelsay are two totally different styles of DE. Schobel is more quick than he is power, Kelsay is more power than he is quick. I'd like to see us move the two around more this year to throw off the offense sense they are such polar opposites.
I think Kelsay could even play some DT on 3rd and long situations and let Ellis play DE.

There's a lot more to a DE than just sack totals.
Im not looking at sack totals, Im looking at what contributed to one of the worst run stopping units in the league last year. Unless you think Kelsay was held back because of just Triplett. Obviously to have one of the worst it runs far deeper than just one DT...and then if its our LB's...then is Crowell, Digiorgio, and Ellison overrated? I've heard many people praising how well those LB's played...
But Im not saying he's bad, Im just saying our whole line as a whole was less to be desired last year...I'm anxious to see how well they play with Stroud in there because then there is no excuse for lack of production for Schobel OR Kelsay.
