BUFFALO, N.Y. - With Brett Favre now retired, Don Majkowski has no intention of claiming his old starting job in Green Bay again.
The thought of it, though, certainly proved amusing Tuesday, when Majkowski was introduced among 13 inductees into this year's Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame.
"And make it full circle?" Majkowski said, smiling at the thought of becoming the first quarterback to start for the Packers since Favre while also being the last quarterback to do so before Favre 16 years ago.
"Ah, you know what, maybe a couple of years ago I would," said Majkowski, who grew up in suburban Buffalo. "But now I'm 44 and just recently had my ankle fused. If I would come back, it would be as a coach."
