Though the absence of Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters was the story of the day Wednesday at Buffalo's mandatory minicamp there was some good action on the field as the defense tried to rebound from a Tuesday workout that saw the offense dominate.

In the early going it appeared as though the offense would again carry the play as Trent Edwards effectively executed his first few series. During Edwards' second set of downs he hit Josh Reed on a deep post for a big gainer and then connected with Derek Schouman down the seam before finding James Hardy.

I personally think that this time Trent is spending early in the year is so important to our offense.

But Edwards and Hardy would rebound connecting twice more in the series culminating in a well executed fade route in the end zone for a touchdown.

Gibran Hamdan rotated in next at quarterback and looked sharp as well hitting Felton Huggins for a touchdown after he got good separation.

Maybe they rotated out of order. :idunno:

So I see alot of McGee mentioned on defense... is he becoming a vocal leader and leading by example?

No mention of our 2nd string QB? Losman?

Why is Kyle Williams starting over McCargo?

J.P. Losman reported to the Bills' mandatory minicamps this week, but did not participate in drills. ESPN's John Clayton says that Losman still "clearly wants out" of Buffalo, but he isn't willing to pay fines. He'll back up Trent Edwards this season.

Hold on to him until we can trade him to a team that will lose a qb at minicamp.

That's most likely what will happen if anything at all.

I thought Losman was a team guy? I also thought he was up to filling whatever role is needed of him.

he hasn't done anything to prove otherwise either. This is Claytons opinion.

NFL Network just showed video of camp and Losman was taking snaps.
