WGRZ Sports Adam Benigini reports,

that two sources have reported that the Sabres entertained NHL Prospect Kyle Beach this morning.

He walked into the HSBC Arena, he sat down with the Sabres GM Darcy Regier, Sabres Managing partner Larry Quinn and Sabres Head coach Lindy Ruff behind closed doors. Then the Sabres took him to the Amherst Pepsi Center and worked him out. All the NHL draft experts say that "the Sabres are very high on Beach and will draft him if he's there at #13"

The last time the Sabres brought a NHL prospect to Buffalo they drafted him. That was Thomas Vanek he was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres 5th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The NHL entry draft is just 8 days away

I want a link to this story.

I'm tired of these "reports" that aren't true, just like Hasek retiring a Sabre.

I don't think we are telling teams stuff they don't already know. I doubt they are going to draft this guy just to keep the Sabres from getting him.

That's not how it works.

If some other team drafting below the Sabres wants him, they now know they have to trade up to 12 or higher.

Before you jump to conclusions, please remmebr that this a thread started with no link and that Hasek "retired a Sabre".

Also consider this: they brought him in for a look/talk. Isn't that logical if they are considering drafting the guy?

Have they had other prospects in for a talk/look?

I don't know but if they brought in a bunch of other prospects then it definitely wouldn't be as big a deal.
