PITTSBURGH (AP)—
All four Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agents, including starting fullback Dan Kreider, will be under contract by Monday.
Also agreeing to terms were linebacker Clark Haggans, who was third on the team with 6 sacks last season, nose tackle Kendrick Clancy and cornerback Hank Poteat.
All four accepted one-year contracts of $605,000 before Friday's deadline to sign with another team. Each can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2003 season unless a long-term contract is signed.
Of the four, only Haggans drew interest from other teams. He visited the Houston Texans, but wasn't offered a contract. A team would have surrendered a fifth-round draft pick to sign him.
