Man did that make me love this team even more. I was fighting back tears when Timmy was saying with that huge grin how we're going to get that Super Bowl one day. We'll get it Timmy... we'll get it. I just wish you were here to enjoy it with us. -

Being an underdog is a gift.
From my own family's perspective, having raised three kids and converted a west coast wife, the Bills get in your blood. There is not a single Sunday that they do not check in from their college campuses and talk about the game.
My Virginia Tech kid asked me last season what I was going to do if they ever won a Super Bowl, having attended my first Bills game when they played the Dallas Texans, and being a resolute fan ever since.
I told him that I would stand on the roof of our house with my arms at my side and use the words Jesus said.

Russert was a perfect definition of a bills fan. Inspite of all the heartache this team has brought every bills fan, we remain true and passionate about this team till the end and we don't hide it.Comment

my father was never a sports fan, he grew up as sort of a blue blood, from an old buffalo family.
Yet even as he enters the twilight of his life, he'll call me up on sundays during the season... and we'll talk about the bills.
I love the team for that, more then any other reason.
(oh sure he comes to the important games i coach... and to the games i played in... but that's what parents do, no matter how old you get... the Bills... that's something special between us)My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.

- All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient.
