In 2007 the Buffalo Bills ranked 25th in the league in yards per attempt when it came to their passing game averaging 6.39 yards per throw. For starting quarterback Trent Edwards, who was thrown into the fire as a rookie, his numbers were even lower as he averaged just over six yards per attempt (6.06). Only Miami's Cleo Lemon and Kansas City's Brodie Croyle ranked lower.

Knowing all of the top 10 offenses last season averaged almost 7.2 yards per attempt or better, new offensive coordinator Turk Schonert plans to change Buffalo's figure for the better with more downfield throws as part of the solution.

The young gun definitely says all the right things and has a great attitude - let's just hope it all comes together this season and he takes his game to the next level.

nice. At least he's making an effort to get some chemistry on the field with Lee. If Lee ends up liking what he see's he may sign the dotted line.

I just hope the damn Offense looks lively this year. I'm so glad to have Fairchild gone it's not even funny.

That means holding the ball longer.

At least our QB will be on his feet rather than in the dirt.

I like Edwards' approach. And not to make excuses, but those two really foul weather games had to have hurt his Yards per Attempt.

The corpse will want short controlled plays, his history deems that. If we vary from that in anyway I'll be suprised.
