His wife was nice, I'm not blaming her. If anything I'm blaming you, because you're funny looking.

Here is my no goal story.....I'm his best man at his wedding....and the game started about the same time as his reception. At the reception hall, there is a TV in every room except none of them have cable. WTF?!?!?!?!? So the game is going and the reception is on. Patrick (pjw) and I are going crazy wondering what the score is, pissing off his new wife-unit to no end.

So it gets a couple hours in and I do my best man speech and all the other stuff, luckily, my wife develops a "migraine". I'm staying with Patrick so I go up to him and tell him that I have to gave back to his house cause the wife has a migraine......YESSSSSSS!!!!!, don't tell him this, but I think she was faking. :scared: I get to his house about the middle of the 2nd period, I believe. He is calling me every half hour asking for an update. That game last so long that he got home about the middle of the 5th period and in time to see the No Goal

I was a tad bit young to be drunk for the game which was probably a good thing. I remember just having this sick feeling in my stomach the entire night though. I get that way in big games and it was like someone knocked the wind out of me when the goal was scored.

I couldn't help watch that game with out the Buffalo attitude "We are going to lose this game, we are going to lose this game."

James Patrick ringing the damn shot off the post. :ill:

If you go back and look at that shot, it got deflected off of a defenders stick, so I can't really blame James as much as I blame Brian Holzinger for going after the puck instead of Hull.

Happy Anniversary Pat... and Brian, I've seen your picture, so I do know that you're funny looking :lmao:

I don't want to stay on topic though, it's too depressing. I was 17 at the time and everybody else in the house had gone to bed and I sat up watching it and flipped out and woke everybody up when the "goal" was scored.

I was at a friends house and the game was off the second the goal was scored.

I did not even know about the controversy until I got home and my Dad told me.

I remember hearing about it at first and without seeing the replay immediately thinking the Sabres were being poor losers and I got mad...then I saw the play.
