Seven night practices headline Bills training camp

For some Bills fans it's hard to believe and for others it couldn't come soon enough, but in just over a month the Buffalo Bills Verizon Wireless training camp will be opening at St. John Fisher. Preparation for the 2008 campaign will commence on July 25th as this will be the ninth consecutive summer that the Bills will spend in Pittsford. And as always the training camp schedule is focused on being fan friendly.

Fans will be able to get their Bills fix early in camp as five of the first six practice sessions are open to the public including a pair of double sessions on the first two practice days (July 25, 26).

Bills head coach Dick Jauron plans to have the first full week of camp mapped out in terms of what drills are run by individual position groups and what plays will be installed offensively and defensively during team work.

A little over a month away. Music to my ears!

      YEAH BABY! I can't wait!!!!

Only two things that suck, I already see 3 practices that I will be missing, including 2 night practices. I'll be in Maryland for Valerie's wedding and to take a vacation. Plus only two 2-a-days?!?? Come on! 2 ****ing double practices out of the entire training camp? No wonder this team looks slow out of the gate in September....

7 night practices= 7 less chances for Mikey to oversleep!

but yeah, you're right about the 2 a days. Sounds like another Club Jauron and another unprepared team come September.

I'll be making the 75 minute drive from Tonawanda at least 3 times. I enjoy camp.

They don't need to run camp longer than it is. Look at all the OTA's so far. Then 4 pre-season games.

It's not being soft or poor execution. It's about calling plays that attack, instead of setting up the punt.

Agreed. I don't think anyone would claim we lost our 4 SBs because of "Club Marv."
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

We lost 4 SB's because Marv got outcoached in the 1st and 4th one.

I hope you are right...but last year's camp really got boring after a while. It really felt like Club Dick.

sweet. Then I don't have to drive to Buffalo. You could always crash on my couch Monday night while I work.

I would think this camp would be far more interesting, with a new man running the O (Turk). Plus seeing the new faces on D plus the exciting rookies.

                            Bring it on.

you guys can't be serious. Marv's team had infinitely more experience and talent than this team, and they also used the same system and plays every year.

On O, we're loaded with inexperience and have a brand new first-time OC.

On D, we have at least two new starters in Mitchell and Stroud, plus maybe McKelvin, and the inexperienced Poz and Simpson coming off injuries.

What worked for that team in the early 90's will NOT work for this team. It certainly didn't last year.
