Bills show interest in Kevin Jones

Former Lion Jones gearing up for comeback in NFL
By LARRY LAGE, AP Sports Writer

SALINE, Mich. (AP)—Kevin Jones darted to the right, planted his foot, pivoted and sprinted back across a patch of grass.

“That is what teams can’t believe I can do,” Jones said Thursday morning after doing a shuttle run in 4.3 seconds.

Soon, NFL teams will get a chance to witness what seems like a remarkable comeback from ACL surgery.

Jones has a workout scheduled for scouts on June 28 in Saline.

    ............

New England, Chicago, Green Bay, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, Denver, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Buffalo and the New York Jets are among the teams who have shown interest in Jones.

Fred Jackson is a situational pass catching back. That Miami game isn't the norm.

      Interesting.

Lynch problem looks to be disapating, so unless he steals some platinum , I wouldn't read too much into it.

This may be a stupid question, but where do all these analysts get their "showing interest" conclusions from? Overhearing a Buffalo scout calling the player's agent? Premonition in a dream? What? Just curious. Is it something that's publicized normally?

We would be able to run quite effectively by committee: Lynch, Jones, Jackson. I like our chances.

What about the washington game? Jackson can play. And that was clear even in pre-season. He has great burst, excellent speed, great hands for a RB and has good moves too, whats not to like?

Durability. Jackson hasn't shown that he can carry the load. Even last year, the most carries he had in a game was 16. If Lynch were unavailable for a length of time, we'd need someone who can pound it.

There is nothing to suggest he couldn't.

He hasn't had a chance to carry the load yet but has shown that he can be productive in the absence of the starter. I highly doubt Kevin Jones goes to a team that has an established #1 RB. Chicago is the best place for him.
