    Choose your contract for Peters!

If you guess it right I will give you 1000 ZB's.

    Heres my guess:

8 years, 64 mill, 25 mill signing bonus; 8 mill per year

Better than the 10.2 mill per year average that Buff News says we should pay:

    Whats your take?

I like the contract he has now. If he doesn't like it, to friggin bad.

This is not the year for him to be asking for more money with having 3 years left on his deal.

If he comes back from injury and plays well this year maybe the Bills can look at his contract next year. Even though he would still be under contract for 2 more years plus 2 tag years.

Well, first off, we cut Melvin Fowler, sign a dead pig to replace him (oo, upgrade!), and then give Fowlers would be salary to Peters.

                    I'd give him 10.2 per.

EXACTLY! I don't give a **** what anyone says....sure Peters needs to be extended, but we have two top players who will be FAs like year. They are priority over Peters or anyone else. I'd take of Lee Evans asap and then work on a new contract for Angelo Crowell before the season starts. if there is still money, I will try to work on something with Jason Peters and if not, then I'll promise him we will pay him the big bucks after the season is over.

Re: Choose your contract for Peters!

Waiting does 2 things, it drives up the price either via market or a player simply being pissed. What happens if hes a pro bowler again and some OT of lesser calibur gets 12 mil per or something? What then? Last thing in the world we want or need is a disgruntled young starter who not only is a pro bowler but is responsible for keeping trent upright.

Peters has done nothing but improve every year.....drastically improve I might add, hes moved to various positions and done everything asked of him. Hes worked quite hard to become arguably one of the best young offensive tackles in the game. He is young, talented and what every team in the NFL would kill for in a franchise LT just entering the prime of his career.

Pay the man. And yes when you pay him, set the new bar. We've started a solid trend the past few years of keeping key guys (apart maybe nate) no reason to let up now. If you are paying schobel and dock and freakin langston walker what they are making no reason to not pay Peters.

This is a very young, very talented young team and not only do we want to keep it that way, but we want to inspire both them and future potential draftees/FA's by showing we will pay you and we will pay to keep our own.

                          6 years, 62 mil with 25 guaranteed.

                            We have?

What happens if Peters turns into the next Tony Boselli?
Let's see how well he comes back from injury before they give him a new contract with 3 years left on the old one.

Dont get me wrong I see your point and at some level I dont disagree.

Crowell, Peters, Schobel, McGee, Kelsay.....etc (ok I was kidding about Chris "White lightning" Kelsay) but you get the point.

Sure a few have gone but thats every team.
