Gholston ran a 4.67 at the Combine so its a good bit quicker than Gholston.

He recorded 3 sacks in 4 games last season with FSU so he will likely be one of their up and coming players this year as a junior.

He's another front seven product from FSU. You could tell last year he's got talent. Of course, amazing 40s and amazing size (Calais Campbell) don't always get you places. Brown looked fantastic last year in limited games, though.

I prefer combine times, they tend to be more accurate.

Article states Brown weighs 255. 4.58 is excellent for a guy who is 255 lbs. but it's not up in the freaky range. If he can put on 20 lbs and still run 4.58, then he becomes a legitimat freak.

What exactly is your issue? Nobody made this about Gholston but you. Pro Day times are misleading because the conditions are usually optimum for the athlete, which is the times at Indy are usually some of the most reliable. Never in the NFL will you have optimum conditions by which to run under.

Yea he'll have to put on weight and keep the speed to be a higher pick, and he's is 6'4 so height wise he is pretty good overall. He'll need a big year to think about coming out this year but he's likely a 2010 prospect.

I said then we will see what this guy runs when his time at the combine comes around compared to this listed time:idunno:

Don't get testy.

40 times are the second most overrated thing in football behind the QB rating.

He does a pretty solid job of keeping up with what's going on in college football. Better than 3/4th's of the people I know.

Trying to find our next year DE? :D

255 lbs is still linebacker range. I hate that Schobel is as small as he is - even if he claims he's really always been around there. I like DEs to be 260 and up. In truth, I'm a fan of the 3-4 which makes my preferred DEs even bigger.

Always and I agree with size wise, Id like to find an ideal guy betwen 265-270 who run a 4.55-4.60 40, but then we are talking Peppers type athleticism.

I already told you the guy, Carlos Dunlap.

6'6, 290 runs around 4.6 40 according to Rivals from his recruiting year, played very sparingly this past seasons. May be the starter oppositte Jermaine Cunnigham next season, but as rising Soph he is not eligible for the 2009 draft.
