Vick reports for Falcons' voluntary workouts

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (April 21, 2003 7:44 p.m. EDT) - Michael Vick reported for the Atlanta Falcons' offseason conditioning program Monday, after missing three weeks of the voluntary workouts.

"What I think everybody should understand is that I have a family now," Vick said. "Everybody has to know that. I have a son that I have to spend quality time with. I have a family I have to deal with."

Most of Vick's family - including 9-month-old son Mike Jr. - lives in his hometown of Newport News, Va., so he wanted to spend as much time there as possible.

Vick had a series of aches and pains during the offseason, including his right foot, left thumb and both shoulders. He pulled out of the Pro Bowl.
