All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
DB is right. Our first pick is 18 yrs old for christ sake. There will probably only be about 5-10 players from the whole draft that will play in the NHL this year.
Some players start in the NHL at 18, 19.. whose to say these guys cant do the same?
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.

Yes some, not very many. The only players that get an early start are the ones that got drafted by horrible teams who have the patience to play a inexperienced player.
There is a chance that neither ever makes it to the NHL. I would be Ennis doesn't even get a sniff.
You are speaking about this year correct? I would bet that both someday(within 2 to 3 years are on the Sabres or another NHL team)
The only first rounder that hasn't played in the NHL in the last 10 years or so is Artum Krukov and he was just a horrible pick who pretty much stated from the get go that he would stay in russia.
Both have attributes that could bring them into the league quickly.
I worry about Myers overall strength. As big as he is he could have problems with smaller, stronger, better leveraged players. I'd say 2-3 years, maybe a peak at the end of 2010 season.
Ennis is a spectacular ofensive talent and plays with a real edge. His problem might be a numbers thing, ala MacArthur.
Can someone prove to me that Enis can't play as good as Max? I mean, I can go out there, skate around with the puck, and then turn it over before I get a shot off...

Actually I'd say he is grittier and better defensively than Max now. I'd be most worried about stamina and total body strength.
