From June 16th;
(1:00 PM): Top TE prospect … Oklahoma State TE Brandon Pettigrew, a top prospect for the 2009 draft, has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge for allegedly attacking a police officer in January. Pettigrew was originally charged with felony assault and battery on a police officer, but reached a plea agreement in which he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery. The 6-5, 260-pound Pettigrew must pay a $200 fine and make a $200 contribution to the victims' compensation fund, as well as perform 20 hours of community service, which he has already completed at the YMCA. Pettigrew also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor public intoxication in the incident and was fined $100. Pettigrew caught 35 passes for 540 yards and four touchdowns last season.

From June 8th;
(9:00 AM): Dawg FB to miss time with hurt paw… Georgia FB Brannan Southerland, one of the better blocking FBs for the 2009 draft, will miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery late last week to repair a stress fracture in his left foot. Southerland suffered a fracture of the navicular bone in his left foot at the end of last season. He had surgery after the season but tests this week revealed the stress fracture in a different location of the same bone.

What is it with guys from Oklahoma State? They've always got someone going down town.

That sucks for Southerland, it's always sad to see a guy miss time because of an injury that didn't happen in a game.

Dont know, also keep in mind that their starter for part of last year (Bobby Reid) is now at Texas Southern.

I personally know Southerland and grew up with him (he's 2 years younger than I am). He's a great kid!
