TB signed Ryan Malone to a 7-year $31 million deal. Over $4million for a guy who has 87 goals and 82 assists in 299 career games. Jason Pominville has 79 goals and 99 assists in 222 career games. What's his price? Will the Sabres pay it?

Anybody here saying $5 million/year?

with the cap as high as it is, $5m wouldn't surprise me. $4.5m would be more reasonable, but the word "reasonable" no longer applies to NHL salaries.

Pommnville is gonna walk, especially after we over pay for Miller who is extremely overratted, Our GM and Larry dont have the know how to do it like the rest of the NHL,
Sorry i would give Miller a 3 yr deal, he lets in to many goals, and is way to emotional, we need a rock back there not an EMO pussy

Pominville will get around a 6 year 30 million deal.

Pominville will demand $5-6 million per year and once they laugh at him, then he will sign the one-year contract. His contract will go up to $7 million per year during the season and they will trade him at the deadline for a 1st round rookie pick and a decent player so they don't lose him for nothing. :sigh:

Hell, if they don't offer him enough....I wouldn't be surprised to see another team pull an Edmonton on Buffalo. :ill:

God forbid we should think ahead so the Sabres don't get Vaneked again.
The team was destroyed last summer because they waited until the night before their homework was due, so to speak.

Don't worry, they won't extend him this season and then will get Vaneked next year. :ill:

Corey Perry just got $5.325 million a year for five years.

the Caps gave Mike Green 5.25 a year- if that's the going rate, then Pominville will break 6.

if he hits the open market next year he might get $7 mil at the rate it is going.
