Just talked to the landlord today, and she said she's pretty much alright with me getting the ticket because my antenna on my apartment blew down, and because my apartment is one of the only units in the complex that is seperate and is capable of having the dish mounted off unit.

I'm gonna go to best-buy today to talk to a direct-tv representative.

Hopefully it faces in the right direction. I just got Directv after being without it for 5 years and oh man is it awesome!

I thought you would be the type to "blow down" your antenna soon as you wanted it to "blow down".

You should get the dish and the wiring free, as part of your DirectTV service plan. The receiver is about $99, unless they have a deal to provide it free, as well.

my gf and I probably would've found an apartment/duplex/etc sooner if it wasn't for DirectTV, lol. we found a great place and they didn't even require a deposit for the dish either--our old place had a $500 deposit for just having the dish
