It was truly a shame to see Eddie melt down like that.

I really wanted to see Sens / Leafs.

I thought one of his penalties was for whacking a guy who was standing in front of the net with his stick. I missed what the other one was for.

Everybody was waiting all year for Belfour to meltdown and he does it in the most important game of the year...

Eddie's antics last night reminded me of one of my favorite goaltenders of all time. Ron Hextall. In a playoff game vs the Canadians in 89 (I think) he attacked Chris Chelios and was suspended for the first 12 games of the following season.

hey, y'all give Ed a break. It wasn't his fault. He was drunk.

Yeah Eddie was upset.. he was frustrated and he let it show.. on the 4th or 5th goal.. he didn't even look like he cared and he didn't even bother trying to make the save..

It looked to me like he was quitting..

He's a good guy though.. afterwards.. he placed the blame on his shoulders even though it wasn't entirely his fault.. I mean sure he didn't have his best game but he had no help.. the Leafs were awful..

Philly was the better team and deserved to move on..

I missed what was said after the game. But I did hear that Roy took the blame for that team losing its series.

Thanks, BironsGirl. :) But the real credit should go to my teacher. Ticat has been wonderful and extremely patient. You should hear some of the dumb questions I ask him. lol And, if he's watching a game where something different or interesting is going to happen (like the penalty shot for the Leafs the other night), he'll call me to make sure I have it on so I can watch it. I've actually enjoyed watching hockey the past year. It helps to watch it with someone who truly loves the sport and has the patience to explain it to someone who doesn't have a clue.

J7 will have learned when she can explain the intricacies of beating the neutral zone trap.
