Jason Pominville will likely be seeking a long term deal in the neighbourhood of $4 million, ala Demitra. He'll likely get it from the Sabres, who have said for the record that they intend to lock up long term contracts for Jason Pominville and Ryan Miller this Summer.

Pommer has earned the right to be paid these dollars. The kid is out-performing expectatios and he's getting better all the time.

No way in hell they will get him for only $4 million per year. I'm thinking it will be at least $5 mil, maybe $5.5 mil.

If we get Pominville for $4 or $4.5m a year, it would be a steal. I don't see it happening though.

Here is what's going to happen....Sabres want to give him 4 and Pomms want 4.5....Sabres will piss him off and not give him the 4.5 so he isnt' signed by the beginning of the season...Sabres won't negoiciate(sp?) during the season with him. He'll play pissed off and score over 40 this season and be a great team captain. At the end of the season, Sabres will say ok here is your 4.5 or maybe even 5. Pomms will say **** you, and sign for over 6 with the Rangers....I've seen this song and dance before. Thanks, Larry and Tom :up:

I agree...unless he is locked up by the opener Pommers will not be a Sabre past next year...

I forgot about that, it seems like Pomm has been around for 7 years....I'll change my story to...Edmonton will off him 7 mill a year for 8 years and the Sabres will have to match to keep him :ill:
