There's no way the Cowboys take a QB. Hutchinson was the best rookie QB last year and has always been rather highly touted - similar to a slightly less talented Drew Henson.
Do you think that whoever signs Drew Henson next year (2004) is gonna draft a QB in 2005?
Btw, Henson will play football. He's stopped progressing in baseball and once he gets near the end of his baseball contract - he's making mad cash - he'll come to the NFL.Comment

Unless someone uses a 7th rounder, I think they're foolish to draft Henson. I don't see him giving up more than a mil a year for a couple of years for a chance (not a guaranteed) to earn a quarter of a mil a year in a sport he hasn't played in years. He'll just hold out and play baseball.
From my understanding, if he doesn't get drafted this year, he's a free agent next year and won't count against a team's rookie cap, so he'll be able to command enough money to make him give up baseball.
Still doesn't answer my question though as to why the Cowboys would draft a QB.Comment
