1. This is Lynch's SECOND annual camp for kids. (Here are photos (http://www.octagonfootball.com/Default.aspx/Events/familyfirstfootballcamp) from last year's camp.)

2. Lynch announced this year's football camp via BuffaloBills.com's Chris Brown blog (http://www.buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?post_id=3503) nine days BEFORE his hit and run.

Dont get me wrong, I love marshawn. He is a far cry from Willis or travis. I hold no ill will towards him after his incident. Anyone who has read my posts in threads regarding Lynch will see that I was a big proponent of him keeping quiet.
I think he needs to do more things like this and hire a publicist to make sure his good deeds hit the national press. I contribute to ohter forums that are not bills biased and most people see him as a p.o.s. We know this isnt true, but as always, someone has to go above and beyond to clear their name.

What's funny is that a few weeks ago -- amid all the Lynch hit-and-run controversy -- the very anti-Lynch ProFootballTalk.com promised to give props (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/06/23/more-free-football-camps/) to any NFL player who ran free football camps for kids.

So I e-mailed him the link to the Lynch camp. Of course, PFT didn't mention it.

This morning I e-mailed PFT with the link to the San Francisco Chronicle story on Lynch's camp. Here's what PFT just posted this morning (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/07/13/sunday-morning-one-liners-5/):

On the one hand, Oakland Tech High School is 5.6% white (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oakland_Technical_High_School#Demographics), according to Wikipedia.


BUT Oakland Tech is located right next to a very affluent white neighborhood in Oakland called Rockridge. In fact, most of the people surrounding the high school are white.
