Every year we all look forward to the football season one way or another, and every year the Billzone as a site is looking for new ways to allow you the poster to icbecome even more involved in getting ready for the season. Well this year we have decided that we will begin our 1st Annual College Football Awards. Similar to the Heisman, the Nagurski, and the Maxwell trophies, we will now have our own process to follow as collegiate athletes battle it out to see who will take home the BZ Hardware. Now it wouldn't be a Billszone Idea if we didn't have a little fun with it, so I present to you the awards that we will be handing out come the end of this College Football season;
Best Player-The Golden LoG
QB-Valerie's "I have a crush on a midget QB" Award
RB-The Pallidin Warrior's "Run Like Squirrel" Certifate
WR-FootballHottie's "I was open all night" like a 7-11 scholarship
TE-Shelby's Tightest End Trophy
OL-Mikey's Golden Griddle Pancake award
DL-RRich's Bronze Beatdown
LB-Devin's "Hit it like Erik" Trophy
DB-"Im not defensive" Justa/OpIv Plaque
ST-The Mr. Irrelevant (Thurm) Ribbon
Coach-Coach Sal Award
Boom-LTBF's 'Where the hell did that come from?' Achievement
Bust-Kini's Biggest Bust Bust
Bonehead-The Assclown Statue
Academic-Ebby's Athelete Egghead Tankard
Midget-MBB's "Midget Man Crush" Award
Now here is how the process will work. Just like in the real NCAA every year in the preseason there is a nomination process for the majority of the awards and in a few moments I will be heading over to the Scouting Zone to make individual threads allowing for you the poster to go and nominate a player for the award. As long as they eligible for the category. A few of the awards like The Golden LoG, Assclown Statue, Academic, Coach, and Midget trophies aren't eligible for the nomination process because they require the season to play out first before we can even make a good guess as to whom should get what award.
Now I have selected 10 other BZ members to work with me on a committee to throughout the season pear down your nominations lists to a list of finalists and eventually to help me not only to give the awards out but to name an All-American team.
I hope that you all both enjoy and take part in this new idea.
