Lucas Oil Stadium’s 63,000 seats include some turkeys.. the Colts new digs

I'm kind of speechlees here.... In this day in age who allows this to happen in a new 750 million dome

I say tear the roof off the sucker...

they've been having a heluva a time finishing this thing, and it has gone over the 500 million $$$ initial budget by a chunk.... Not counting the interest to be paid etc....

Larry Hall, the vice president of ticket operations for the Colts, said those totally-obstructed seats are not part of the ticket program and will never be sold for a football game.

The partically-obstructed seats will be sold, but not as a season ticket and only after all other tickets are sold.

So, which is it? Will the seats be sold or not?

Two different type seats he mentioned

got it.

Still seems to me that any seat that can be described as "obstructed" shouldn't be sold.

thats rediculous. why would they even waste the money to buy and install those seats....

oh the depths they'll go to make an extra 500 bucks per game.

They aren't making money on seats they don't sell:idunno:

the article does mention they might rip that section out and install boxes there instead in anticiaption of the Superbowl. So those support columns will probably be redesigned to incorporate the luxury box.

but I still find the seats to be a bit of comedy

my guess is they'll give those tickets away to "disadvantaged ____________" and call it a charitable contribution, fully deductable against income of course

WOW! The last stadium I knew to have obstructed seats like that was Cleveland's old Municipal Stadium. Built in the 30s. With planning these days and technological advancements, why?

Wow, those are some nice seats, kind of like the ones they have at Fenway Park.

i went to cleveland once by myself to see a bills game there (it was on my route as i traveled someplace else) and they had about 5k seats left on game day as the browns werent very good at that time

so i go up to the ticket window just before the game started (there was no line at all) and struck up a friendly conversation with the ticket seller and told him i was from buffalo just stopping by and asked him to give me a good seat. he was very nice and we chatted for a while and he said heres a great seat im sure youll like it

so i go into the game and im walking around trying to find my seat. i find the right section and head up the stairs. when i get to my seat i just start laughing so hard and loud everybody is looking at me. that seat you see in the picture is EXACTLY the seat the guy gave me, i swear to god

after i finally stopped laughing i just went and found a seat next to a father and his eight year old son who was going to his first game ever. the bills lost the game but i actually had a wonderful time talking to the man and his son and sharing in that wonderful experience for them

and of course this wonderful memory of that really sweet ticket seller being a totally hilarious son of a ***** lmao

Very poor planning/design but at least they're going to be upfront with whoever buys those tickets.
