June 1st Cuts

A curious question occured to me as I was looking at the Bills present roster.
They list 73 players...and with the addition of at least 7 more draft picks + free agent signings that's a bunch of guys!

Now, with respect to the June 1st cuts...

Who will be the biggest name that is presently listed on the roster who will be cut?

My guess....AVP

My reason...This is Travis Browns 3rd season with the Bills..and he is a TD pick...I just feel that it is his time to fish or cut bait.

Of course..I could be wrong.

What are your thoughts?

I think they will have to look at AVP during camp and pre-season before they make a decision . They already said that they will put another qb in the mix and I guess they will all compete for no. 2.

They are gonna drop a late round pick(or undrafted FA) on that kid from Mount Union College that won consecutive Division III titles, and a perfect record i might add. He has pretty good stats, 6'5ish 225ish. I must admit, never actully seen him play, but i heard that the Bills were looking at him.

I don't see any reason for us to cut anyone on June 1st or shortly thereafter. We still have a lot of cap room to sign anyone that we may need. It also seems that TD's style would have been to cut someone before June 1st so that he doesn't have to deal with the dead cap space in later years.

Unless someone huge gets cut and we need massive cap room, all 80 players or so that will be under contract will be there in training camp.

Doing okay. Just moved to Rochester. Can't stand the weather .

There will be surprise cuts in camp.

Also, after they draft the Bills will have 80 guys under contract (the limit), however, 5 of them are exempt from the roster number because they are playing in NFLE. So, the Bills will be able to sign 5 undrafted free agents.

Well, I think we would all be suprised if Watson isn't cut June 1st. After we draft another CB (anywhere in the draft) we will have no need for him.

But that isn't a suprise cut.

Here's a name nobody would expect - Teague. Maybe they draft Faine and determine they don't need a backup center making LT money??
