Hey guys...I posted this on the BB msg board and thought I would share with you guys as well....
Hey guys...so I just got back from camp. It was so exciting!! I loved it! I am uploading the pics as we speak, I got 121!!! LOL! I didn't realize I took that many, I was just pointing and shooting at everything..haha!
Not I'm no football experct by any means but I will tell you what I thought and what I saw. Take it or leave it....
1. Most impressed with our linebackers. I saw quite a bit of them, as you will see in the pics. Seeing them all lined up is pretty impressive, these guys are ready to play. Mitchel is pretty beefy and bulky, and definitely ripped. He is going to be like hitting a brick wall on the weakside. Poz seemed at home calling the plays and Crowell is always good.
2. The 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 was very fun to watch! Trent ran the first team offense and looked on target. His one attempt downfield was overthrown to Lee Evans, but as usual he was very accurate on the short and intermediate throws. He even scrambled once, which was nice to see. He also threw an INT and McGee ran it back.
3. I watched JP and on his first attempt he went long to Roscoe but it was broken up by the defender. It was on target but the defender had good position. After that JP made the most of his time hitting his recievers in the short game. He also threw an INT, I believe it was Will James with the return. He's rockin the full beard, which surprised me. He's still cute, I don't care! LOL!
4. Trent and JP kept their distance. JP spent most of his time next to Lynch and the offensive line guys...Fowler for sure.
5. Fewell and Kollar are awesome coaches. Towards the end of practice they had the entire defense seperated by starters, 2nd's and 3rd's lining up in formation and then sprinting to the endzone as if they were chasing a ball carrier. That was fun to watch. Our guys can hustle for sure. Ellis got some props.
6. Lee Evans was very involved so that was nice to see. He made some nice grabs, as usual! Gotta love Lee!
7. Hardy got first team reps, rotating with Reed and Roscoe. Ran mostly crossing patterns and middle of the field stuff. He looks like he has some nice hands. I saw him make a grab on the run...caught the ball out to the side of him and pulled it in. Looked nice! Could hear the pop when the ball hit is hands..he yanked it right out of the air!!!! I loved it! LOL!
8. Tried to keep my eye on number 13 Stevie Johnson but he didn't get many reps, mostly with the 3's and possibly with the 2's if I remember correctly.
9. The offense did a lot of reverses and end arounds involving, Roscoe, Reed and Evans. Bet we see that in the season.
10. Our full back was in there with the first team and was leading the way for Marshawn, who is ready to roll. This guy is going to have a great season.
Well there you have it...that's what I saw this morning. The pics are on their way. I will post them next. I got some good ones!
I know some people were heckling JP, actually it seemed to be just one guy...there were a few other ones including myself who rooted for him. I just wanted that to be clear, and nobody should be out there booing our players. On the msg board is one thing, but out at practice is comepletely uncalled for. Let the coaches handle it.
I will post some of the pics...the rest can be seen here :
