Buffalo Bills
Three weeks ago, SportsLine.com gave Tom Donahoe, Gregg Williams, Tom Modrak and company the top spot of our offseason grades. They had no first-round pick and could not pay two receivers Eric Moulds money. They had the guts to franchise Price, then shop him for a No. 1. They found their dance partner in Atlanta and the Bills are back in the first-round derby.

The team has added six defenders via free agency, including two on each line of the defense. This list includes Takeo Spikes, the offseason's best free-agent pickup, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Sam Adams and underrated safety Izell Reese. Let's not forget the team's hiring of former Bengals coach and defensive mind Dick LeBeau.

Does that mean they have the urge to sit back on their defensive need? Absolutely not. Buffalo still needs to add a bona-fide pass rusher. Despite making their first pick in the bottom third of the round, the Bills could look to fill their most glaring need with their first selection.

Needs DE, WR, DT to add to rotation, TE, RB depth

The only need that cries out for attention are at the defensive end slot. They need to find their next pass rushing phenom to follow in the footsteps of Bruce Smith and Marcellus Wiley. Aaron Schobel is above average, but he's not the annual double-digit sack man they need.

Although they added Adams to team with solid Pat Williams on the inside, they need to add another motor man who can bolster a rotation with the two solid run stuffers.

On offense, the team needs depth at a few skill positions. Even though they traded for Mark Campbell, the Bills should invest a latter-round selection on a pass-catching tight end who could serve as a bona-fide deep zone target. They would also be helped by the addition of a speedy wideout to stretch the field in three- or four-receiver sets.

As far as running back depth is concerned, the Bills re-signed starter Travis Henry and added former 1,000-yard rusher Olandis Gary from Denver. But beyond that, they must be proactive against injury.
