Bills Training Camp Gallery Saturday, July 26, 2008 (http://www.billszone.com/gallery2/v/2008_Bills_Photos/2008_training_camp/7-26-08/)
Here we go. It's now Day 2 of the Buffalo Bills Training Camp. Today was the final day of the two-a-day practices. I was there for the morning and it was a nice day outside with no rain. The players worked out in helmets and shorts, so it was a minimal contact day. They worked on a few special teams drills, including punt catching and blocking. The team also worked on the individual drills with their own units, 7-on-7 and of course the 11-on-11 full team drill.

Very cool! Thanks for showing me. I love this one quote to describe the James Hardy photo....

Looks like he's giving birth to John Wendling (29?) in mid-air.... if he can do THAT, we're definitely going to the Super Bowl!!!!

Mikey, your reports are awesome. They seem unbiased. Your pictures are awesome. You do a way better job then the Bills reporter, Chris whatshisname.

I really like the "Extra Points" part.

And, who do you think is better thus far, Fine or Anderson? Or, maybe Anderson is being used more as a blocker? Also, do you have any prelim judgments on Wendling Vs Scott? Are you convinced Hardy will start opening day?

Fine hasn't gotten many balls thrown his way, but either has Anderson. I think I like Fine better, but they are both similar. Neither one of them is great. I think it will come down to Schouman vs Royal for the #1 and Fine will compete with Anderson for the #3 spot. Fine wins, unless Anderson has a good pre-season.

Haven't seen much from Wendling or Scott. I'll have to start paying more attention. Hardy should start opening day, Reed isn't doing much to get me excited, and Parrish is playing with the backups a lot. I wouldn't be surprised though to see Hardy weaned in slowly. But he looks as good as advertised....

Awesome job Mikey!!

Sounds to me that Wright has a very good shot at getting cut.

Is Hamden looking better than JP???

yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Wright was cut. Hamden isn't looking too bad, but he's hardly getting any reps.

he was okay. He did make a couple bad throws. He also doesn't seem to be having fun anymore, especially compared to last year.

guaranteeing playoffs IS arrogant, and signing autographs and taking in a houseguest are nice gestures but they are NOT leadership.

I don't know why everyone is so eager to heap credit on a guy who has yet to help us on the field.

You have it backwards- the people who aren't concerned are the ones who are already on zoloft and prozac because they can't deal with reality. I'm concerned because I'm realistic.

Patti thinks she is realistic too.

Patti doesn't justify her concerns like I do. She makes a zillion predictions then clings to the one or two that are remotely accurate, and her sources are never objective- they're always blogs from people with the same psychotic mindset as herself.

I think you are wrong on this, Op. All of these things - showing confidence and challenging your teammates, helping young players, interacting with fans, etc. - are all facets of leadership.

We've been over this before.

Guaranteeing is ARROGANCE. There is a difference between arrogance and confidence. Guaranteeing is over the line.

Helping young players with tape and on the field could be seen as leadership. Letting them play your Xbox is a nice gesture but it is not leadership.

How is interacting with fans "leadership"? It's a nice way to show you appreciate the support from the community, but it's not leadership. It's just a way of acknowledging the fans.

Nicely played sir!
The only real concern I have this early on is Peters. Everything else is the typical bugs that just need to be worked out. You alluded to it and Jauron mentioned it as well regarding the good play on one side of the ball or the other. It is maddening... but the fact that both the Offense and Defense seem to be trading shots is actually encouraging for me. Neither side is being consistently owned by the other.

So maybe not prozac or zoloft then because I see the logic in your argument. Zantac? Prilosec? Too early yet, but if Peters isn't here by first game (which I doubt) I will be right behind you looking for any and ever heartburn med available.
