All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Re: Goodell and Schumer to meet with Wilson, today
nothing is going to come out of this conversation. they do this like 3 times a year. it keeps ralph in the news, schumer can seem like he's trying and get a couple extra votes, and goodell is just happy to be away from the favre fiasco.
Re: Goodell and Schumer to meet with Wilson, today
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell spoke with Marshawn Lynch at Buffalo Bills training camp Monday morning, and told the media no discipline is forthcoming for the running back's incident involving a vehicle he was driving and an injured pedestrian this summer.
Goodell told the media that he spoke to Lynch about the back's responsibility as an NFL player, and that he saw no need to discipline Lynch since the incident was reduced to a traffiic violation, according to WGR's Brian Koziol.
Koziol also detailed the highlights of Goodell and New York State senator Chuck Schumer's meeting with the Bills' brass, including:
-- Goodell saying he was here to discuss ways to strengthen the Bills franchise, and that he met with Schumer and Ralph Wilson to talk upcoming revenue sharing, the late Tim Russert and how to keep Ralph Wilson Stadium NFL-quality, with no discussion of a new stadium.
-- Schumer said there was no talk of a succession plan for Wilson, as it would be counter-productive, and that the plan for the Toronto series is to help centralize Buffalo.

So he scolded Lynch a bit and sat down for some tea with Wilson...
Re: Goodell and Schumer to meet with Wilson, today
ralph asked the state to pay for Peter's extension because he sent his $78MM from the toronto games to a swiss account. Then he asked if Goodell if there were any chance that Dubai wanted an NFL team.
PITTSFORD – There were smiles all around St. John Fisher College this morning after Sen. Charles Schumer, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and Buffalo Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. emerged from a meeting prior to the start of the Bills’ training camp practice.
The three men reviewed a number of issues surrounding the franchise, and at the top of the agenda was the Bills’ series of games to be played in Toronto which gets underway in a little more than two weeks with a preseason clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“When Ralph and the commissioner and I get together we talk about how we can further strengthen the Bills,” Schumer said. “We’ve had good luck so far and we’re going to keep working and working at it.

If only that wasnt baned by the NFL
well not exactly. Community ownership is banned.
However, an ownership group is not banned, provided there is a majority owner who owns a certain percentage of the team (I can't remember the exact percentage off-hand).
