Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia was carted off the practice field today with an apparent leg injury.
WDAE has a photo (http://www.620wdae.com/cc-common/gallery/display.html?album_id=129233)showing Garcia, still wearing his helmet and shoulder pads, sitting next to a Bucs trainer in a golf cart.
Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times reports that Garcia was injured during a non-contact drill (http://blogs.tampabay.com/bucs/2008/07/garcia-injured.html). (We’re glad for the “non-contact” clarification. If Bucs coach Jon Gruden were putting Garcia through contact drills, he might as well hang a “Welcome Brett Favre (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#)” banner at Bucs camp.)

Agreed, or the Fins. With him, they may even win 4 games, and we wouldn't want that. (I'll probably end up eating my words by the end of the year.)

Wherever Favre goes--it's not likely that he'll be as effective as he was in Green Bay last year. He'll be learning a totally new system, getting used to new receivers etc.

that said, if he does leave Green Bay, I'd rather he stayed in the NFC.

I dont care if he goes to Miami, and he would never go there anyway.. They have no chance of contending this year; they dont have the talent yet.

favre won't be learning a new system in Tampa.

Yesterday I would have put my money on the redskins coming out of nowhere and scooping him up this weekend. I thought snyder would be too tempted to complete a redskins trifecta: arguably your two most famous players inducted into HOF on saturday and the first game of the year sunday, coupled with favre, would get the fanbase really jacked up.
