Ahman Green's traffic case scheduled for trial

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) _ Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green has been scheduled for trial next month on two traffic citations stemming from a one-vehicle accident in January.
The trial is scheduled for May 19 before Judge John Murphy rather than a jury trial. Assistant District Attorney James Haasch said Thursday that he expects the matter to be settled before it goes to trial.
Authorities said Green's sports utility vehicle left snow-covered Interstate 43 in Kohler and hit a right-of-way fence.
Green, 25, continued onto a nearby county highway and left the scene, according to accident reports. A license plate was found at the scene, leading deputies to identify Green as the motorist involved.
Green was cited Jan. 28 for failure to notify police of an accident and hit-and-run to property adjacent to a highway. Green could face fines of up to $574 and a driver's license suspension up to one year.
Green filed written innocent pleas March 3.
