both doubtful according to V-Text.

Too bad- I was looking forward to seeing if Whitner was finally going to start living up to the hype.

it also said Hardy's status will be determined later in the week. If he plays and Reed doesn't, it could be a blessing in disguise because Hardy will get more reps.

i'm ok with whitner and reed sitting out. We know what we have with them. Whitner, even if he isn't worth the top 8 pick, is in the top half of SS. And with stronger linebackers i expect his better play will be seen in games that count.

Reed, not needed. i think he blocks well, and is an asset, but i also think that roscoe is more of a threat receiver in the 3 spot.

That's funny- usually Whitner and Reed watch from the field.

Yeah, I know that's going to set off a firestorm but it was too good to pass up.

I don't mind a couple of starters sitting 1 preseason game when they'd only play a couple of series. I'm just glad we should be able to see Hardy in action.

Where did you guys find that this game would be on NFL Network? It's not listed on the NFL network website.

You were looking to see if Whitner was going to live up to the hype in the first preseason game? :loser:

The only preseason game that usually gives any indication of where a team is at is the third.. its when the starters usually play the most.

1st 2 teams try everyone out.. and the 4th all that matters is no injuries

well I was at least looking for something to suggest he has big play ability. Keep in mind that he's been in the league for 2 years and playing football his whole life. This isn't his first game, in case you didn't know.

Whitner is not the leader of the defense...

By the end of the year it is going to be Stroud and Mitchell if it isn't already.

Oh really he has played before thanks for the clarification? Don't get all antsy because you want to see big play ability in preseason games. Wasn't that long ago when A. Brown was returning TDs in every preseason game, how'd that turn out?

Im just saying people are putting wayyyy to much stoke into preseason games especially the first one...
