    Dear CoWorker

While Brett Favre might be the preferred choice at QB, don't point the finger at Aaron Rodgers for this mess.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Aaron Rodgers dropped back, set his feet and prepared to release a routine slant pass when he heard the squeaky voice from behind the fence. The fourth-year quarterback paused during an individual drill late in the Green Bay Packers’ training camp practice Tuesday afternoon and spied a little boy, maybe 6, among the hundreds of spectators lining the Oneida Street side of Clarke Hinkle Field.

“We don’t love you,” the kid said. “You suck.”

Rodgers didn’t respond to the taunt, nor did he acknowledge the pockets of fans chanting “we want Brett” and “bring back Favre” at sporadic points during the practice. But given the way things had played out since a certain legendary quarterback’s dramatic return to Titletown less than 48 hours earlier, there was an obvious message that should have been delivered to the kids – and the people acting like them – going to pieces over the messy divorce between the Packers and Brett Favre.

The Aaron Rodgers era has begun in Green Bay, and if you don’t like that, you’re taking it out on the wrong quarterback.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

It's Flutie syndrome all over again.

There were Flutie fans and then actual football fans. Same with Favre. Many so-called Pack fans will bail and buy his Jets jersey tomorrow. He walks on water and heals the sick.
Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit

Thats like congratulating him for being the best DB on a high school football team...

I am taking it that Leodis not starting or getting first team reps is a sign that our other DB's are playing well!

How do you figure both Roderick Hood and Eric Green are solid NFL CB's, while they may not be pro bowlers they are good starters.
