    Ross Tucker on Sirrius, notes..

    Per Ross Tucker:

    1) Bills playoff chances got really hurt by the Frave signing.

    2) Peters is the best player on the team. No playoff shot without him.

    3) Bills players are super high on Edwards and his ability to lead this team.

    4) I'm repeating exactly what Tucker said "the players did not feel the same way about Losman. I know some of you will get upset by this but it was said today so take it for what it's worth.

      1. I am split on this. The Jets and Favre cold struggle in September as they learn each other. There is much potential good from Brett, but there are also big questions that can't be ignored.
      2. Yep.
      3. Nice to hear, since he is starting. Confidence in teh QB is big.
      4. That is apparent at times.

About the Jets thing...if our defense is supposed to be Top 15 or whatever...why are we worried? If you have faith in Dick Jauron, Russ Brandon et al, why are we worried? This is year 3 of this rebuilding plan and the culmination of all that should be realized this year. It's time to go out and pave your own road for the playoffs and not have to wait for someone to build it for you. Just because the Jets aren't "gimme" games anymore shouldn't discourage you too much. If you think the Bills are going to make the playoffs based on just the fact that the Jets sucked and the Dolphins blow, then you're hanging your hopes on other teams sucking and not so much the Bills being all that good.

I want the Bills to go to the playoffs based on the fact they're a good team, not based on the fact that the teams in our division are horrible.

Not me (Upset) Losmen seems like an arogent tool to me at times.

I am equally concerned about the jets with farve.

Although the jets should never have been writen off without farve they now have a shot at spliting with him on that roster.

WE SHOULD of signed Farve for the following reasons.

            1. Is the kind of QB that can run this offense.

2.Would have soldout toronto on his own.

3.Would of paid for himself with jersey sales alone.

4.Would have turned us from playoff contenders to yes SB contenders (Yes I said that.)

5.Trent Edwards does not apear ready yet if camp and last season is your guide. If it isnt then Trent Edwards > B Farve?

6.Trent would have benifited with 1-2 year behind him.

7.JP lossmen would be more expendable (For you haters).

            8. Would have ended the 8 year search for a winning Franchise QB.

9.Would have enlarged the Bills fan base to a more national team generating more dollars for Peters, eVANS A CROWELL.

            10. PETER WOULD HAVE BEEN AT CAMP THe day after.

            11. More FA's next year will want to come here.

11.5 Would have kept him from the Jets.

            12. There is no downside.

Drew Bledsoe 2 scenario, elderly QB that will play for a few more years at a declining level. It never dawned on some Farve fans but the team around him is very talented and making him look better.

Not the same in the least.

This is a better team then Drews.

Drew's weakness was exposed (Blitz up middle)...and he was done as a qb after that.

                Farve is no Bledsoe.

                He can move (Still).

                Make plays on his feet.

Farve would not have cost half that in a trade.

Ok so a good team around a qb can make a qb look better...
Yet a team with many problems (2006-2007 bills)....you can all though darts at the QB all day and night and blame him entirly...

                Got it!

The problem with Favre joining the Jets hurting the playoff chances of Buffalo is seen differently by me.

I don't necessarily think that Favre being with the Jets gives them 10-11 wins and puts them over us in a playoff race.

The problem I see is we play them later in the season, Favre will get better with the team as the season goes on, and with him in the lineup its no sure thing we sweep them.. If we lose to them once or twice, that could be the difference between Buffalo getting to 10 wins or 8-9
