Patriots | Gain A Draft Pick - from www.KFFL.com
Fri, 25 Apr 2003 13:43:01 -0700
The New England Patriots have announced the team has completed a trade with the Miami Dolphins to acquire the Dolphins second-round draft choice in 2004. The Patriots give up one of their second-round picks in 2003, No. 78 overall.
THIS PICK MAKES NO SENSE??
why would the pats do that??? it is a second for a second.. and who is to say that the second they get back next year, isnt LOWER than the one they just gave up.. WTF??"All hockey players are bilingual. They know English and profanity." ~ Gordie Howe

wow... that is just plain stupid... just give away a 2nd round pick? Why would you do that? That has to be wrong, a 3rd this year for a 2nd next makes sense, a 2nd this year for a 2nd next is highway robbery. My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
MY WIFE SAID THAT!!!

5:00 PM): Pats send #3 to Dolphins for future pick...Miami has acquired a third round pick from New England in this year's draft in exchange for the Dolphins second round selection in 2004. The Dolphins get the 78th pick overall from New England, a pick that the Patriots had acquired from Kansas City through New Orleans. The additional pick gives Miami three first day selections tomorrow including two thirds and a second, but the Dolphins are still without a #1 pick after sending it to New Orleans as part of the Ricky Williams trade with the Saints. Meanwhile, the Patriots are still left with 12 total selections, second in the league to Houston's 13. the fins board is having a discussion about it.. seems they think miami is going to package some picks together to move up.. i would take miamis 2nd rounder, and both 3rds for our first.. honestly."All hockey players are bilingual. They know English and profanity." ~ Gordie Howe
