It's not the flashiest highlight, but the touchdown catch at the 1:59 mark in this NFL.com clip is basically what you can expect from Bills' rookie James Hardy.
The guy is an almost perfect red zone weapon. He's gigantic (6'7", 220), and he was impressive at the NFL scouting combine, finishing among the leaders at his position in multiple categories. Over the past three seasons at Indiana, Hardy caught 36 touchdown passes. He had at least one TD reception in each of his first eight games last year, and finished the season with 16.
When he's in the red zone, he's open...even when he's covered.
You can't count on big things from first-year NFL wide receivers, obviously, and Buffalo isn't exactly a pass-first offense. But in dynasty leagues, Hardy is someone you're targeting. If your league's scoring system de-emphasizes yardage, and is instead all about TDs, then you're especially interested.
It's worth noting that Hardy actually started for Buffalo in the preseason opener. He was far from perfect, as he was penalized for a false start on third-and-three at the Washington 17. He also caught only one of the three passes thrown his way. But that one catch occurred where Hardy is most effective.
