Not too low... Not too high...

    Everyone,

Please keep in mind that just as last weeks miserable performance in DC was "Just one game"... let's not forget that yesterday's game against the steelers was also "Just one game"!

Let's not get too low or too high until after week 1.

I'm looking at it like this:

After the Skins game, all we saw was bad from this team. Now, we've seen one bad game and one good game. Who knows which way it will go once the real game starts?

However, the O showed signs of life and the D hasn't been great but it hasn't been terrible either. That means there's some proof that we MAY have a decent team. I'm not overly excited and I'm not changing my 7-9 prediction just yet, but I am happy to finally see a realistic reason for hope.

Mind you we did very well WITHOUT Josh Reed OR Jason Peters last night.

Kinda makes you wonder how much we missed Josh Reed. Will he be cut?

there's been some talk on here about Reed's back problems. He could be a surprise cut, especially if Steve Johnson can step it up. But we are VERY thin at WR so the only way Reed gets the boot is if it really is a medical problem.

I don't hold much weight in the preseason at all. The teams just aren't competing truly they are just working on their own things. During the last preseason game they actually do some team preparation but it's all a gear up to the process they will follow during the regular season. It's about learning how to execute their system not defeating the other team. Still, you can tell when a player is doing their job and when they aren't.

Ahhhh, the longview. Good to see it surface every now and then. I fully agree, and I think we'll be in dog fights for most of the season. That doesn't mean we can't get 10 or 11 wins, just that they are going to be tough. That being said, it was good to see TE playing well yesterday. Necessary may be the better word. This will help his conidence tremendously going forward.
