I can only make an exception to the Bears having Devin Hester because well Devin Hester is Devin Hester haha.
Is there any debate about the Bills having the best return game?

It's hard to argue against Hester, but if he goes down, their return game drops dramatically. However, if one of our guys gets injured, we would still have one of the top return games.
It'll be interesting to see if McKelvin gets spoken about in the same breath as Hester. Of course, if that happens, we'll have him holding out for a bigger contract next year or the year after.

To my knowledge weve had one of the best ST units for the past 3-4 seasons. So we have seen that in a real game.
Id suspect McKelvin only helps that.

Originally posted by BlingWhen did you get Terrence McGee? That's when you became good. But how much of an impact is the return game? 10 yards extra doesn't mean much when your offense isn't doing much.
McGee has been a bill since 03......5 seasons now.

You said it, Mitch. Devin Hester is Devin Hester. Under ordinary circumstances, only one player is going to handle the ball on a given return. Buffalo's advantage over Chicago is in depth only.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Re: Is there any debate about the Bills having the best return game?
Overall the Bills' special teams were as good as any in the NFL, despite all the focus on Devin Hester. The only area that was not that good was returning kickoffs.
Punting Defense: allowed 5.3 yards per return, #1 in NFL.
Kickoff Defense: allowed 20.5 yards per return, 5th best.
Punt Returns: averaged 15.4 yards per return, #1 in NFL.
Kickoff Returns: 20.7 yards per return, ranked #28 in NFL.
Special teams involve a lot more than just a fast return man (gunners, blocking, staying in lanes, good tackling), just like pass defense (quality pass rush, taking away the running game, force the offense into predictable play calls) involves a lot more than two cornerbacks.

it's sad that you would say that. We have been a bad ass team at punting for years now.
