All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I think we keep Hamdam as #3 this year b'cse he has more experience with our team (the calls, etc). But Baker has shown potential and should be put in the PS for next year. Then let both of them battle it out for #2 in '09 and draft a raw candidate with potential to put on the PS next year.
I would bet that next year's #2 is not currently on our roster.
It probably depends on how durable Edwards is this year though.
I don't know who it will be, but I don't think the two young guys we have are going to be ready to go as a starter.
The reality is that in the NFL, you will most likely need your backup QB to start a couple of games, and you can't rest your hopes on someone you don't have faith in.

How is a draftee going to be more ready than either of our current QBs who already know the calls and are getting to know the offensive scheme of this team?

a rookie isn't gonna do squat unless he's another Trent. We can draft one and make him a no.3 at first just like we did with Trent.
We can grab Farve next year after he ritires and then ask for reinstatement ,again.

Do you feel good about our current backup list?
The backup's job is to come in and not lose us some games while the starter is recovering from whatever.
