Straight up.

Disgruntled Great WR + Big Contract = Happy Above Average WR + Slightly Less Big Contract

I'd rather have Evans, assuming they sign him long term. I like his attitude and work ethic way more than Boldin.

How do you know Boldin doesn't have a legit complaint?

Hell no!

Lee Evans has a far better demeanor and play.

My argument wasnt so much would the bills do it... I know they wont!

But if you were a franchise owner, would you see the 2 as being equal, given all circumstances surrounding them?

First, why is it that WR's are always the loudmouth malcontents?

Second, there's a good chance Lee wants out because he was here at the end of Moulds' career and saw how Buffalo's inept management held him back. However, I don't think he'd want to go to a team with another disgruntled WR. Same goes for Boldin- anyone know if they have no trade clauses?

Third, none of the rest of this matters because as several people already stated, there's no way in hell that this actually happens. The Bills just don't make big moves like this. Sometimes thats good, sometimes that's bad, but it's simply not their MO.

The biggest drawback to this idea is that Boldin is not a stretch the field WR like Evans is.

No, they aren't equal; Boldin, in my opinion is the best all-around WR in the league. But he's also a pain in the royal ass and is injured far too often.

True, but if we are running more of a West Coast style offense we won't really be looking deep much this year.

True, but at least Lee provides the threat of the home run ball.

Yeah, and he doesn't present half the headache.

Boldin is Pro Bowl WR for a reason, he is better than most of the other one's in the league. Arizona has sucked for many years now and to be that big a standout on that squad says alot. I still like Evans, he plays hard and if we actually have a system here that distributes the ball properly, he'll be in the probowl as well.

Boldin + Evans

That looks better.

this thread is sad....

Evans is a class act and I'd rather have the guy who is willing ot come to camp with 1 year left on his deal then have a guy like Boldin whining about his position and pay and asking ot be traded.

Evans is better then some here give him credit for... our problems have been with QB consistency and OL inability... that is changing and Evans will be the beneficiary

Conversely Boldin's a way better red zone target. In all honesty I think Boldin's a better receiver then Evans yet as some have stated don't see the Bills making a move like this. Not to mention why would Lee wanted to be traded to another team that won't likely pay him franchise money since they've already invested it in Fitzgerald.

Not really Mad, I like Lynch but this is in the same vein as this thread title. Just find a big name on another team and trade our current starter for him.

Moves like that always send the right message to the locker room.

With Trent as QB all Boldin has to do is stretch the field 20 yards.

Especially trading a player in the middle of a contract negotiation.

That's right Jason, I said "middle".

Id take it, Boldin is a better all around WR though his injury history does bother me some.

If I remember correctly, Boldin has only played a full season once in his 4 years in the league (Thanks Fantasy Football Index!)

Why trade for Boldin?

We can just sign him in the offseason.

And then all you people that love Lee Evans can have him and then a real receiver opposite him for the 2009 season.

I would rate Boldin higher but just slightly ahead of Evans.
