Single Season teams.. I have not thought of my list yet.

I have this in this particular forum though, because I plan on stating a case that the 1990 Bills belong on the list, even without winning the Super Bowl.

I'm sure this will take some time for people to come up with their list.]

Plus, besides the countless arguements about the Bils losing a Super Bowl and still being on my list, I'm really interested to see what other people think and who makes their cut.

The two best teams I ever saw were the 85 Bears and last year's Patriots teams.

Nevermind.
The Bils aren't a Top 10 team, not of all-time anyway.

Top 15 VERY possibly though.

MOVE this thread!

It's late, I dont know what the **** I was thinking.

I just went through a list and there's no way the 1990 Bills are a Top 10 team, and I'm starting to think not Top 15 either..

GREAT team and Great one, just definitely not Top Dozen material.

Out of teams i've seen play...

83 Raiders, 85 Bears, 89 Niners, 92 Cowboys, 00 or 01 Ravens - forget which year, 07 Patriots.

The best of those teams? 85 Bears. Don't care that they lost a game to the Dolphins. They were absolutely the most dominating team I have ever seen play. I still haven't figured out how they were unable to return to a SB after winning in 85, they were that good.

Alltime, you're throwing the 1950 Browns, 1965 Packers, 72 Dolphins, 78 Steelers in the mix.

10. Green Bay 1st superbowl
9. Buffalo Bills in the early 90s
8. Cowboys- Staubagh (whatever)
7. Raiders Stabler days
6. Giants- Taylor
5. Steel Curtain
4. Pats
3. Dallas 90s
2. Bears of the 70s- 80s
1. 49ers Rice and Montana

This is based off of more than 1-2 years of greatness. If I did it like that, then the Phins would make it easily.

That was only 2 years. When we say great teams. We mean teams who were on top for at least 4-5 years. Pats, in a way buffalo, 49ers, Pittsburgh, Bears.............

I've been watching games since the mid 1960's & I'd pick the 1978 Steelers or the 1985 Bears. I can't decide which was better. Maybe a slight advantage to the Steelers.

You could have sent all 22 starters of the 1978 Steelers to the Pro Bowl and no one would have been outraged at all. They were that deep. An amazing roster.

You have SO many holes in your ideas it's not funny....

Good for 4-5 years is how you're judging this?

Browns from 1950-1956 went to the NFL title game, winning it three times...on top of the fact they were in the AAFC from 46 through 49 seasons, winning all 4 titles. Yet they didn't make your list....

The Dolphins won back to back titles in 72-73, lost the SB in 71 and were in the playoffs every year but 2 from 1970 to 1985...also lost the SB in 82 and 84. Even I can give them some credit.

That Bears team was dominant for one year and didn't sustain greatness.

If you include Buffalo, you'd have to include the Broncos who lost 3 SBs in 4 years from 1986-1989.

I know you're young so you don't have a wide array of football knowledge yet but you'll get there grasshopper!

But the spirit of this thread is single season accomplishments not sustaining greatness....and I'd say that the 1965 Buffalo Bills team is the best in Bills history. Shutting out a very good Charger team in the AFL championship game. A charger team that had the best record in professional football at that time.

If only the Superbowl/World Championship game started a year or two earlier then more people would give the Lou Saban led Bills more credit.

Don't be ignorant the Dolphins went to 3 SB's in a row. They were the only team in the history of the sport to end the season #1 on both sides of the ball. They were the first team to ever have two 1,000 yard backs in the same season and had another back with 500 yards. There is no team to ever go undefeated other then Miami, like'm it or not they were the best team ever.

And you're the first person to profess his love for Daunte Culpepper via love letter. What's your point? BTW, you insinuating that someone is ignorant is just too much :roflmao:

Is it not your position that wins and losses are not indicative of how good a team is?
