I couldn't help myself, every time I see him start a thread I have to attack it. It's called FTPitus and it affects over 1,000 Zoners every day. There is no known cure for it yet but I hear they are working on it as we speak.

I dont understand why you need a definitely yes and a hell no option on your poll. Shouldn't a simple yes and no be sufficient?

he seems mentally tough. I just hope it isnt a 47-yarder and our opponent wasn't the Giants.

Could you freegin imagine if the exact same thing happened twice in a lifetime?

I trust Miyagi to hit the kick. He is oriental/japanese/asian afterall. They are good at karate.

Lindell has hit a a league best 90% of his FGs the last 2 years, and is a league best 7 of 8 in 50+ FGs the last 3 years.

i think this is a good thread.

i for one have always had problems with Fancy I. The thing is that the last two years or so he has become much more consistent, but he has missed big kicks. And by big kicks i mean 2nd 3rd quarter kicks that ended up biting us in the butt.

So i'm torn. i think he's done well statistically and he's put up points for sure, but i don't trust him in the pressure situation of hitting the SB winning kick. I'd still take my chances with Norwood, pre-superbowl kick.

if it happened twice in a lifetime? that could be it's own thread on how you'd kill yourself. i don't think i'd have the power to go on.

This is not a bad thread and is actually a decent question. One we haven't thought about for awhile. There was a time where we all hated Lindell and now that he's dependable, not a word about him. I don't know why there are more than two options, but I choose yes.

When you start a thread with; "Don't make this into trash MLynch thread" you know you're going to get trashed. It's not enough that you are referring to yourself in the third person, but you're also asking for pity from these border-line psychos.

it seems easy enough. if you don't like his posts leave them alone. but this one was a good one. Rian lindell has been a very sporadic kicker for the bills. at one time he sucks, now he's not so bad, but he's left a bad taste in many people's mouths on how he'd do in a pressure situation.

One damning thing about t he bills is that he really hasn't been put in a "make this kick or we lose situation" for years. the last one can't be the OT kick vs the vikings in Drew Bledsoe's first year, is it? was that even Fancy I?

The kick against the Steelers in 2004 seems to be his biggest knock, or most memorable missed kick.

true, but that wasn't even like "pressure cooker" intense. i can't recall where we ran the field in desperation and plunked him down with an icing the kicker TO and him being the difference between winning or losing. That's sad on several levels.

It's sad but look at the team over the past decade, we've been a running joke. I think we might see that change some this year.

I trust Lindell when he is out there on the field. I also trust the fact that every time I open a thread started by mlynch23, I feel lightheaded and nausea.

Of course it all depends on the distance. If inside 40 yards yes and the further out less and less. It's not a knock on Lindell just the law of averages. That said if rank him in regard to other kickers I'd favor him over Norwood yet put him behind Christie.
