Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=3539) and safety Bob Sanders (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5569), out for much of training camp while recovering from surgeries, will play Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=buf), the Indianapolis Star reported Friday.

"I feel good,'' said Sanders, who had surgery on his right shoulder. "I'm excited to get out there and move around and get that game speed so when it's time to kick it off first game of the season I'm ready.''

Sanders and Freeney, who had a procedure on his left foot, re-joined the team for training-camp practices this week.

None of the healthy Colts quarterbacks could start on a local HS team. Who cares what their defense is doing? We will score 14 on special teams...the only thing that sucks is that a bunch of those a$sholes are hyped up for the very first game in the new stadium. The one we paid a couple percent on EVERY meal out and rental car and so on.......

I'm glad they're playing. With them in the lineup, we'll have a better chance to evaluate our offense.

To a point we can but without Edwards, Hardy, Parrish, Peters it still won't be at full strength.

Our backup offense?
yes.
We need to know who can step up and contribute when needed.
